Technical advisory and consulting for a wide range of industries, including engineering, medical and financial services. Operations and maintenance of a complex multitenant private cloud infrastructure/ISP. Management and delivery of engineering projects for onboardings, implementations and migrations for an extensive range of IT systems. Joined WNA in June 2022.

Alla Gray

Ten years’ experience in Oil & Gas pipeline integrity engineering and over 18 years’ experience in data management and data analysis techniques. Experienced database manager & analyst, particularly adept in the planning, organising, and executing of tasks to achieve multiple goals simultaneously. Considerable experience planning Preventative Maintenance Routine works and related project tasks and activities, encompassing a diverse range of disciplines across the Integrity Management function. Extensive experience as a document controller, project administrator and technical assistant with wide exposure to numerous software platforms & applications in various disciplines in the Oil and Gas Industry, resulting in extensive knowledge of electronic data management systems, supplier document control systems, electronic filing systems and drawing & technical libraries. Joined WNA in December 2023 and embedded in the Shell Crux Project Team.

Anthony Duncan

Ben Raven

Diploma of Project Management 2009. 17 years telecommunications industry experience with Telstra. Including 14 years as comms technician and 3 years as WA radio team manager with project manager functionality of various telecommunication systems; PDH & SDH point to point microwave, Next G mobiles RBS, CAN radio, Via-sat satellite systems and structure maintenance programs. Joined WNA in August 2011 and was responsible for the successful implementation and commissioning of telecoms systems for the BHPBIO Goldsworthy Main Line (rail). 
Currently full time with Woodside in the Digital Field Services Projects team on a range of brownfields projects.

Brian Dunne

BSc Computer Applications 2002 – Dublin City University, DipSc Applied Physics 1997 – Dublin Institute of Technology. 22 years’ experience in multiple industries including Utilities, Oil and Gas, Defence and Transportation. Track record in providing design, implementation, testing and documentation for both software and hardware applications. Many years of project managing both projects and personnel with a track record of timely and under cost delivery of completed systems. Knowledge and experience of Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition, Remote Telemetry Units, Programmable Logic Controllers, WAN, LAN, PAGA, Audio Visual Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems, CCTV, Human Machine Interfaces, Network Management Systems, Telephony, Microwave, Fire detection, Fire Suppression, Radar and Tetra Radio.

Clint Embrey

An IT/OT Specialist Consultant with 20 Years’ experience across the Oil, Gas, Mining and Utilities sectors, Primary disciplines are in Cyber Security, Networking, Infrastructure, Virtualization and Governance.  Extensive knowledge of Greenfield and Brownfield OT environment design and implementation having just completed a project to design and build the OT environment (Network, Systems, Cyber Security, and Virtualization Platform) of a Kalgoorlie based gold mining client. Recently involved in assisting a major Oil and Gas client with a multi stage Remote Operations Centre project.  Joined WNA in 2022 and engaged in SANTOS works.

Conrad Bastian

B. Sc (Physics, 1995), B. Eng (Electrical & Electronic, FC Hons, 1997), Adv Dip Project Management (2007). Electronic Engineer & Project Manager with 13 years experience in the design and construction of IP, SDH, PDH and DWDM optic fibre networks, 3G cellular networks, RF systems, and point-to-point wireless networks. Management and engineering of a wide range of projects for Telstra, NewMetroRail, WestNetRail, Water Corporation, Alstom, Amcom, BHPB, and Rio Tinto. Joined WNA in April 2011. Work has included radio design activities for Chevron, BHP Billiton, Atlas Iron and accommodation village telecoms design for Chevron. Currently full time with Woodside in the Digital Projects team on a range of brownfields projects.

David Green

Radio & Television Mechanic Trade Certification (1988), Restricted Electrical Licence (WA), EEHA (SOA) & Open Registered Cabler licence. Thirty (30) years onshore and offshore telecommunications maintenance experience with service companies such as AWA Electronics, Navcom Electronics, Darwin utilities (PAWA, NT Electricity Commission) and with MARCOMM for 13 years, predominantly supporting and servicing multiple operators in the offshore O&G industry. Experienced in the installation and servicing of systems such as Radars, Echo Sounders, Autopilots, Gyrocompasses, HF, VHF and UHF transceivers, PAGA systems, Aviation headsets, HF radio systems, HF, VHF and UHF Antennas, SATCOM equipment, EPIRBs, GPS Receivers, NDB systems, PBX systems, ROV systems and marine instrumentation. Three (3) years as an ROV Pilot Technician and Subsea Tooling Technician/Supervisor working in the O&G industry. Davide Ciotti

20 years with Robe River Iron Associates/North Ltd including two years as Manager IT (1997-1999), and 12 months as IT Technology Advisor (2000). Since 2001 with WNA. From 2001-2006 on full time contract to Normandy/Newmont Mining. Project management for CP Mining IT group supplied communications for the Cape Preston Mining Project completed April 08. Project management of comms for the Oxiana Prominent Hill project. Has ‘General Manager’ role within WNA besides overseeing various works including ICT Management for Western Areas and WNA involvement in Atlas Iron projects.

Denis Rimanic

Diploma Electrical Technology, Advanced Certificate Electronics, Certificate IV Telecommunications, Open Cabler Registration. Australian Army trained in radio relays, circuit switch assemblies, satellite terminals, mobile networks, fibre optics, HF, VHF and UHF systems, fibre optic networks, including fusion slicing, mechanical termination kits and backbone cabling to nodes, telecommunication switching systems, dual spoking satellite systems, quad-spoked multi-band satellite terminals ( X , C and Ku bands), Gigasat systems and tower systems maintenance.
August 2014 entered civilian workforce in the mining industry, supporting wide area telecommunications systems, adding team lead and Section 44 Supervision (qual) skills, and P25 radio systems, WIFI systems knowledge and became conversant in the use of SAP and mine production scheduling systems.

Don Swanson

PRINCE 2 Project Management with over 20 years’ experience as an electronic and telecommunications specialist working in the resources, energy and maritime sectors. Experience on a number of different systems; CCTV, Access Control, Analogue/DMR/Tetra Radio systems, Radio Console, Paging Networks, PAGA, VSAT & TVRO Communication Systems and Core Network/WIFI infrastructure.
Since moving to Australia in 2010, worked on multiple large scale Oil and Gas projects as a Field Engineer overseeing the construction of the telecommunication packages on Wheatstone LNG Plant and commissioning supervisor successfully handing over the INPEX LNG plant to Operations in 2018. Since 2018, managing a radio communication company in the Northern Territory servicing Oil and Gas, Mining, Government and Construction Industries with both small and large scale projects including maintenance of the Santos assets at Darwin LNG and Bayu Undan facilities. Moved to Perth and joined WNA in 2021 and currently engaged in multiple Santos WA brownfields projects.

Ed Everett

25 years in the electrical and communications construction, installation and maintenance industry, with 15 years in the Energy sector (Mining & Oil and Gas) in Onshore & Offshore roles throughout Australia and Timor, in both onshore and offshore roles. Extensive SAP Campaign Maintenance Planning experience from Resourcing to Close-out .
Various positions including Technician, Team Leader, Supervisor and Project Planning Lead and Coordination/Planning Roles with operators such as; Maersk, Apache (Santos), Woodside, Chevron, Vermillion, UPS & Inpex. Also worked on Industrial Tunnel and Public Rail Projects for Metronet in the Perth CBD, including Perth underground & suburban train station installations. Experienced in a wide range of Construction & Maintenance activities. Joined WNA in May 2021 and currently engaged within the Woodside Digital Field Services Projects team, supporting a range of brownfields projects.

Eldar Ismayilov

Cert III in Telecommunications, Restricted Electrical Licence (WA), EEHA (SOA) & Open Registered Cabler licence.  Over 11 years Oil & Gas Operations experience as a Telecommunication Technician, with hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of multiple telecommunication systems for Chevron, Inpex, ConocoPhillips, Woodside and BP Offshore and Onshore facilities.
Experienced in most Communications systems used in Maritime, Oil & Gas facilities, including UHF/VHF radio, Radar, Meteorological Systems, PAGA, Mustering Systems, LAN/WAN, CCTV, Satellite systems and Microwave links.
Joined WNA in October 2019 and embedded full time in the Shell Prelude Telecommunications  Maintenance team.

Estherfe Rafaela

Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Currently, pursuing a postgraduate degree in Engineering at ECU-Joondalup. Experience in managing a range of Network Monitoring Systems in both Huawei and Nokia Radio Access Network, Wireline, and Transport Network environments. Extensive experience in fault escalation and utilising ticketing systems. Involved in designing Outside Plant infrastructure for FTTH networks, specifically in the areas of feeder routes, distribution routes, and boundary planning. With practical knowledge in conducting both preventive and corrective maintenance of telecommunications equipment. Joined WNA in September 2023 and currently acquiring knowledge and experience in the Australian telecommunications industry from the WNA office.

Ethan Salmon

​Electronic Technician with principal engineering experience gained working within the Royal New Zealand Navy over 13 years. Naval roles included operating as a Senior Combat Systems Technician, Fire Control Officer, IT Network Administrator and Electronic Technician working on various Marine Radar, Sonar, Navigation, Computer, Communication and Entertainment Systems as the first line maintainer through to maintenance manager. More recent O&G experience gained as a Senior Survey Engineer working on all aspects of Hydrographic, Geophysical and Geotechnical marine based surveys for large client companies. Joined WNA in March 2023 and currently embedded within Shell as a Project Technician.

Graeme Busch

Technician, 1979. 33 years experience in Telecommunications within New Zealand carriers, Aussat and Optus. Extensive experience in IP WAN and LAN networks, carrier services and voice network products. Commenced with WNA in February 2008. Work undertaken for Landgate (metro WAN design), BHPB Petroleum (Pyrenees FPSO LAN design, Macedon comms study), BHPBIO (rail asset protection network architecture study), Woodside Pluto (LAN/WAN design and telecoms temporaries), FMG Christmas Creek Stockyard LAN/WAN design, Woodside NR2 project (offshore commissioning), Woodside Vincent FPSO upgrade. Currently providing project support on multiple client projects.

Greg Kane

A trained RAAF Radio Technician with 9 years of military experience. Has 40 years post military experience in radio and telecommunication system maintenance, design, installation and commissioning. With WNA since January 2010 providing consulting services to major government, petro-chemical and mining companies in migrating their radio communication needs from legacy analogue to state-of-the-art digital radio communication systems. Technical writing specialist for development of scopes, specifications, tender documents, and project management, maintenance & training plans for new digital radio systems.

Hermie Pagtalunan

BS Electronics & Communications Engineering, ACMA OPEN Registered Cabler, Restricted Electrical Licence (WA). 18+ years’ experience in telecommunications industry. First 4 years spent as Project Engineer for MW Radio rollout projects across Philippines, Vietnam, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. Migrated to Oil & Gas from 2008 as Telecom Engineer/Supervisor for installation and commissioning numerous Gas Plant, Drillship and FPSO projects across Singapore, Korea, China, Angola, and others. Moved to Australia in 2019 as Telecom Technician to ConocoPhilips & Inpex . Joined WNA in December 2022 and embedded in the Woodside Digital Field Services KGP Maintenance Team as a Communications Technician.

Ian Cleverley

Forty years plus telecommunications experience across the Australian DOD internationally, offshore oil and gas, civil aviation and public transport sectors. Specialist training in maintaining critical air traffic control, aviation telecommunications, radio systems, microwave bearers, multiplexing, audio systems and consoles, RADAR & radio navigation services, CCTV systems, building fire alarm systems and airport terminal PA systems. Experienced with Ericsson PBX systems, Cisco IP Telephony and WIFI, UHF/VHF radio systems including combining and filtering structures from various vendors, NAVAID beacons, security and operational video, entertainment and environmental systems, telemetry/SCADA/PLC systems, DC power systems including solar and usage of a wide range of communications test equipment, Solarwinds Orion NMS and Engineers Toolkit. OEM trained in ACE100, CompactACE, ACE16, VA400 & SDMS by Tyco/Spector Lumenex. Vipedia-12, Integra EN54 certified systems by Application Solutions Ltd (ASL), and SL700/GE800 systems by Commend UK.
Working around the world alongside Exxon Mobil, Imperial Oil, ConocoPhillips, Shell, Woodside, BP Offshore and Onshore facilities and many more.
Moved to Australia to Join WNA in February 2023. Currently embedded in Woodside Digital Field Services team supporting a range of brownfield projects

Ing Wong

MIEAust, BEng (Computer Systems), MSc (Communications Engineering). Since 2008, working in the Oil & Gas and Offshore Marine industries including ICHTHYS LNG Onshore Project in Darwin. Possessing a broad range of telecom skills, including CCTV, Access Control, Fence Intrusion, Structured Cabling, VOIP, PABX, Hotline, PAGA, IPTV, VSAT, UPS & Radio Console systems and exposure to navigation systems. Strong in technical knowledge from estimating, front end engineering design (FEED), detailed design, installation, commissioning and handover of telecommunication system throughout the project life cycle. Joined WNA in September 2021 and currently embedded in the Woodside Digital Field Services Projects team, working on a range of brownfields projects.

Isaac White

6 years in the Royal Australian Navy as an Electronics Technician Communications sailor. Attained Certificate IV in Electronics and Communications (2015), ACMA Registered Cabler (2019), Restricted Electrical Licence (WA), EEHA (SOA). Specialised in the maintenance, installation and defect rectification of various Internal and External electronics systems including VLF/LF/MF/HF Radio Rx/Ex Systems, VHF/UHF Transceivers, SATCOM, PABX, Voice and Data Encryption Systems, and Main Broadcast and Alarm Systems. Over recent years worked for Raytheon Australia as a Senior Technician on the DDG Combat System Integration Program within the Maintenance Team. Joined WNA in May 2022 and embedded in the Woodside Digital Field Services Team as a Communications Technician.

Ismail Vawda

BSc Eng (Elect). Over 22 years of experience in Telecoms and 7 years of Instrumentation / Control Systems in the Oil and Gas Industry. Employed by various consultants, contractors and operators which involved in conceptual design, FEED, detailed design / engineering, construction, testing and commissioning. Worked and lived in 8 countries. Experienced in most telecommunication systems required for both onshore and offshore installations. Joined WNA in October 2023 full time on CRUX project.

Jason Gillies

Royal Australian Air Force Radio Technician, Associate Diploma in Electronic Engineering (1990), Master of Science Project Management (2011). 6 years Military experience working on HF radio equipment, 8 years experience working in the Commercial Two-way Radio industry, 6 years experience working on Information Technology and 17 years experience managing a variety of technology and Infrastructure EPC projects across Rail, Mining, State Government, Telecommunications Carriers (Telstra & NBN).
Projects include: BHPBIO RGP5 Communications Upgrade, Rio Tinto Lang Hancock Rail Signalling System, Brookfield Rail Communications Upgrade, NBN Power Systems Augmentation, Forrestfield Airport Link Signalling and Communications, Bayswater Train Station Upgrade, Morley Ellenbrook Line Rail Communications.  Joined WNA in July 2022 and engaged on various Telecommunications infrastructure projects.

Telecommunications Design and Project Engineer with 17 years’ local and international experience in the utilities, resources, and private and public construction. Worked directly at all stages of the project life-cycle including regional strategic planning, requirements scoping, concept and detailed network and infrastructure design, project engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, system cutover & integration, project handover, and operations & maintenance. Four+ years experience in maintaining microwave backbones in a Telco provider, and 15+ years in Telecom System Integrator (TSI) and Engineering Procurement Construction Installation Commissioning (EPCIC) in Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy. Joined WNA in January 2024 and embedded in Shell as Project Engineer.

Justin Shields

30+ years of Telecommunications & Rail Communications industry experience in both the Telco & Resource sector. I’ve held various positions with Client, EPCM, Tier 1 Contractor, Telco. The past 16 years I have been involved with some of the largest resource sector communications projects and upgrades in WA. This has been a challenging and rewarding experience. This included BHP RGP3, 4, 5, PHIHP & Jimblebar, Rio Tinto Brockman 4, Mesa A, GAP, Teal Siding, Roy Hill, DBNGP-Dampier to Bunbury Pipeline. A talent for the successful execution and delivery of technically complex projects within challenging environments and timeframes. I have strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent attention to detail and a high level of organization. An ability to influence at multiple levels with both internal and external parties. Joined WNA in December 2022.

Kaung Khant

Thirteen years plus in Telecommunication engineering, including: design, detailed documentation, integration, installation, commissioning, and servicing of telecommunication systems in the oil & gas industry, refinery plants, marine and offshore environments. Experienced in TCP/IP networking concepts, SAN Storage, Cisco & HPE & Aruba routing and switching, LAN and WAN technology, vMware, Milestone CCTV video management system. Joined WNA in February 2023 and currently embedded in the Shell Prelude Engineering team.

Kevin Humphreys

With 41 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, on many continents, in roles ranging from Director of own Telecommunications Engineering company, Manager Installation & Commissioning, Transmission Manager, Engineering Manager, Senior Communications Engineer, Senior Telecom & Electronics RF Engineer, Delivery Manager and Digital Radio Subject Matter Expert in a wide range of organisations including multiple major EPCMs, Global RF manufacturers, National PTT organisations and Telecommunications Carriers , Rail Operators, Mining and Oil & Gas Operators. Formerly with Kentz (SNC Lavalin) on both the Gorgon (Chevron) and Ichthys (INPEX) Onshore projects including a 1 year secondment providing commissioning support to the Ichthys EPC, JKC Australia.

Previous experience includes projects for Woodside Energy, Santos, BP West Java/BP Oman, Total Oil, Murphy Oil, and Petro Vietnam, and various EPCs including Nisconi, Worley Parsons (Aus & UK), Ranhill WorleyParsons, Schlumberger, WoodGroup, & Fluor Daniel.
Specialist skills include the design, planning, integration, construction, and commissioning of complex communications systems, including the design of microwave and fibre optic networks, Local Area Networks, PAGA, satellite linking, radio systems and coverage studies. Project skills include feasibility studies, system engineering, HAZOP review, Technical Bid Evaluation, Vendor Document Review, FAT, site integration and SAT. Worked on communications systems for the Woodside Pluto and Eni Blacktip oil and gas projects, including P25 digital radio, VSAT and PAGA. Also performed maintenance work on the microwave links for BHP FPSO’s Stybarrow and Pyrenees. Eleven years at Rio Tinto Site Communications team, maintaining various communications systems for the Mines and Rail. Works included analogue voter radio systems, Tetra digital radio and the AutoHaul driverless train system. Also familiar with HF and VHF radios, CCTV, Fibre Optic Cabling and Security systems.
Joined WNA in March 2022 and engaged full time in telecommunications systems maintenance for various clients and facilities.

Sulaiman Mehfooz

Electrical, CCNA. 12 years+ experience in electrical, instrumentation, control and communications including onshore and offshore oil & gas projects in Australia and the Middle East. Communications systems experience includes LAN/WAN, SDH, UHF TETRA, VHF radio, microwave, CCTV, access control, FOIDS, PBX, PAGA, structured cabling (copper, fibre), power systems, earthing. Joined WNA in August 2019 and currently embedded with the INPEX Onshore communications team.

Terry Hodgman

B.Bus (2001), Communications Technical Officer, ACMA Registered Cabler. 35 years experience in the communications industry including 31years with Telecom/Telstra as a Technical Officer and Team Manager covering a wide range of equipment-small capacity radio systems, solar power installation and maintenance, data cabling design and installation, equipment maintenance programs, PABX and Small business systems, Satellite broadband, PDH/SDH Transmission equipment. 3 years with BHPIO Communications working on transmission & mobile radio systems and railway asset protection equipment. Joined WNA in August 2011 and currently engaged on BHPIO communications/asset protection projects.

Timothy Nelson

BEng (Hons.) Electronic Systems Engineering, 2005, Advanced Diploma in Electronic Engineering, 2005, Diploma in Electronic Engineering, 2003. With 17 years of work experience, the most recent roles in telecommunication systems projects in a variety of roles including project management, design, commissioning field engineering and service engineering. Most recent projects include the RAPID project for Petronas in Malaysia and the Long Son Petrochemical project in Vietnam. Joined WNA in September 2023, currently full time on Shell project works.

Tony Bower

BEng Electrical – Communications (UWA 1978). 36+ years’ experience in telecommunications with Department of Communications, Australian Broadcasting Authority, Gibson Quai-AAS, Kellogg Joint Venture – Gorgon and INPEX.  10 years Oil & Gas experience with Gorgon LNG Project and Ichthys LNG Project (Yokohama & Darwin) including LAN/WAN & telephony, UHF TETRA mobile radio, radio consoles, PAGA, CCTV, RADAR, VSAT, IDS, access control, microwave links.  Radio coverage/path planning (Planet and Pathloss) for mobile radio, broadcasting and microwave and UHF link services.  Infrastructure – towers, cabling and cabinets, maritime and aeronautical radio, telecoms network management, meteorological and oceanographic systems, wireless LAN and personnel location.  Project management incl: FAT & SIT testing; verifying database records for equipment; witnessing/signing off the completion of Commissioning ITRs; conducting Ready for Commissioning (RFC) and Ready for Start Up (RFSU) walk down inspections; checking and signing off RFC and RFSU dossiers, Punch List Items; witnessing OTPs and SAT testing; liaison with Operations, monitoring Contractor performance & deviation requests.  Joined WNA October 2018. Currently embedded in the Inpex Project Engineering team.

Vicki White

Electrical / Instrument Fitter and SAP Master Data Specialist with a good working knowledge in Process Safety, Performance Standards, Regulatory Requirements, Maintenance Strategies and Engineering Standards.
Extensive SAP experience in nickel & gold mining organisations and past 20 years in Oil & Gas, primarily at Woodside. Major roles in Woodside SAP PM Project, NWS Offshore Campaign Lead Planner, Transfield Worley Brownfields SAP Team Lead, SAP PM Maintenance Specialist for IPF, KGP SCEMP SAP PM Team Leader and Maintenance Business & Data Specialist for Pluto Project. Most recently worked in the Woodside KGP Maintenance Strategy Project 2.
Joined WNA in November 2020 and currently embedded in Woodside Digital Field Services Project – Critical Comms as a SAP Master Data Specialist.
